Hello and welcome to our August newsletter. While the sun takes some time off, here is some news to brighten up your week.

We hope you enjoy our ramblings

Tough times doesn’t have to mean soft security

Unless you’ve been living on another planet for the past few months, the reality of having to stretch the pound to its maximum is something we are going to get good at. As every budget is cut back critical services such as security are going to get hit if we are not careful.

This is why we have brought out a range of services to fit any budget to make sure your systems not only stay operational but still get results (catching baddies!).

Because we get a kick out of repairing instead of replacing and adjusting instead of upgrading we are helping all of our customers save pots of money whilst maintaining good service.

Oracle Vision makes the grade for Kirklees College!

Fairly recently, Dewsbury College and Huddersfield Technical College merged to form Kirklees College. With multiple premises, thousands of staff and tens of thousands of students, security is a major consideration and requires a robust and reliable approach from every angle.

Oracle Vision have a brilliant and long term partnership with the previously named Huddersfield Technical College and the security team. For several years now we have helped them maintain, develop and upgrade their CCTV, Access Control and Vehicle Barrier Systems with great results.

So much so that we are now supporting their system at Dewsbury centre too!  We’re thrilled to bits with how our relationship has developed and now it’s gone to another level. In a true reporter like style, we asked David Hardcastle the Facilities Manger for Kirklees College for a few words and this is what he had to say:

“My maxim in dealing with companies is to develop a business partnership rather than a customer – supplier relationship.  I believe that Kirklees College has achieved this with Oracle Vision.  Oracle Vision is proactive in helping us to overcome our significant security requirements.  They have gradually introduced advanced technology to our security systems which has seen improvements in scope, functionality and reliability whilst future proofing installations for some time to come.  I have no hesitation in recommending them to fellow professionals out there looking for a security solutions business partner”.

Thanks for that David and we’re really looking forward to working with you and the guys at Dewsbury.

Events

We would like to carry out a series of open days/events to cover security based topics that will offer some support to your every day life.

There are loads of subjects we could cover such as new products, legislation, how to get the most out of your system etc... But we want to make sure they are relevant and worthwhile.

Ideally the open days would be at Oracle Vision HQ in West Yorkshire where there will be tea and biscuits but we are open to suggestion. We are going to send out another reminder in the next few days and your feed back would be much appreciated.

Techy Tip - Cameras’

To get more from a camera that looks at a glazed entrance, make sure it has(WDR) ‘wide dynamic range’. In short, the camera allows you to see both inside and out regardless of the difference in light. So, for not much more cash than a usual camera you get twice the benefit. Simple!

With WDR

Without WDR

No we don’t know who he is either!

Nice pose though catalogue boy.
