Mmmm.... nice!

Welcome to our September rant. The kids are back to school and don’t they look smart. I suppose that means we’ve had our summer then!

The Blackberries are ready for picking so if anyone is making jam let us know and we’ll get the scones and cream ready!

We’re targeting Anti-Social Behaviour & hitting the Bullseye!

Sadly, most of us in one way or another have had some experience of Anti-Social Behaviour and if you haven’t then it’s only a matter of time. It’s dangerous, demoralising and expensive. This costs organisations such as, schools, social housing and councils, not to mention the tax payer, over £3 billion a year.

Here at Oracle Vision HQ we’re constantly challenged with combating the causes and effects of ASB. We believe our bespoke police style training has been the key to our success. When we first started tackling this problem it soon became clear that there are a number of factors to be considered to make sure you are effective against ASB. However, these must be applied systematically and methodically to get results.

Working together with several housing associations in known long term trouble areas we have been amazed with the results we’ve had. By looking at every element of the environment from street furniture to CCTV we’ve been able to completely remove the blight of ASB from most of the areas we focused on.

So, our message is - don’t be a victim! Bare in mind that we are here and we can help you reclaim your property, make public places safer and save you money!

WDH and Oracle Vision make a great team!

As part of their district wide housing refurbishment process, Wakefield District Housing (WDH) are also investing in their security measures by teaming up with Oracle Vision to install CCTV on all sites.

One recently installed system at Greenwood House in Wakefield saw results before the system was even finished!

An opportunistic vandal was caught on camera damaging the newly fitted doors worth thousands of pounds.

The images where so good the police published identifying stills of the person on their web site and the local paper.

The word is that they caught him - result!

Techy Tip - Maintenance

See more maintenance info

Make sure you are helping us keep an eye on your CCTV by carrying out regular checks.

Get yourself into the habit of having a quick check to see if every thing is recording properly and operating as it should. If you do this in between our maintenance visits it will make sure the system is ready to give you evidence when you need it.

There’s nothing worse than finding out the recorder isn’t working when the bosses Jag has just gone missing!

I think this police poster says it all. And if your images look like this you’d better give us a call.

If you think some system check sheets would help, just let us know and we’ll email you some over.

We’d Like to give you stuff

Every thing always seems better after a good brew and a bikky. So, the first 30 replies to answer the question below correctly will be sent some of those long finger length biscuits with chocolate on. What do they call them again - Cadbury’s Chocolate... Er... no, it’s gone. But you know the ones I mean!

So, the question:

The worlds longest running sitcom based on the exploits of several pensioners in a country village is to end this year after 37 years.

What is it called?

a) Friends

b) The Last of The Summer Wine

c) Only Fools and Horse

Chris... Hello!

Oracle Vision department:

Business Development

Background:

Got into security pretty much after leaving school and found CCTV was right for me even though I didn’t like heights (and still don’t really!) It’s rare to see me up a set of ladders these days, thank God!!

Things I couldn't live without:

obviously Lauren and the boys, tea, weekends and cook books.

Pet hates: cold showers

Tell us a secret: I’ve found the fountain of youth and I’m celebrating my 700th birthday next March. But, I must admit I do look my age sometimes!
